The Basics
Grab your breakfast courtesy of The American Club then board a ferry from Singapore's Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal at 8:30 am for a easy, breezy, stress-free, 90-minute ride to Desaru. Be met at the terminal by the attentive staff from The Els Club who will whisk your bag to the golf club while you are taken to the very hip Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast to check into one of the hotel's new and modern rooms.
After you get settled, take the free shuttle to The Els Club to get your locker assignment where your goodie bag, shirt and cap will be waiting. Then enjoy a pre-round, buffet lunch. Finally, it's time for the big event: a shotgun start and an exhilarating day of tournament play on either the Ocean or Valley Course, billed as the best golf course in Southeast Asia. Finish the round with cocktails at the club sponsored by Brown-Forman, then head back to the hotel for a rocking awards dinner and live music concert..
On Sunday after breakfast, you have two options: take a special 11:30 am ferry we have added to the schedule (need 100 people to confirm) or stay and play for the day. You can either add an extra day of golf (see below for extra golf details) or head to the water park attached to the hotel (those staying at the hotel get a free ticket to the water park) and then catch the 5:30 pm ferry....

AAS Member Early Bird Foursome: SG$ 1,560
Teams of four (4) must have a combined handicap of over 43
All those with an AAS paid up membership need to sign in to get your 20% discount. AAS members can buy a foursome which is a SG$ 390 savings with your member discount. Add in the ferry for four and you've saved a total of SG$ 486 for a foursome.
Note the event is hugely discounted for AAS members so it's worth joining now for $120/year for a family membership which gives you discounts to all AAS events throughout the year and special access to certain AAS member-only events as well as a weekly newsletter and more...
Sorry, there is no discount if you skip lunch or the Awards Dinner. The golfer packages are sold intact only.
FERRY PRICING
Top up your ticket and take the ferry. We have negotiated a special rate for the ferry of SG$ 96 return trip for AAS members. For non-members, the rate is SG$ 120 for a return trip. The ferry must be booked with AAS to qualify for the special fare. Trust us. The ferry is the way to go. No stress. No traffic at the border crossing. It's fab! March 11 is a local school holiday weekend in Singapore and Malaysia so driving may add hours to your journey as the crossings will likely be backed up.
Note: the last ferry on Saturday is at 5:30 pm and it's likely the tournament will not be finished by then. So if you need to get back on Saturday night, you will have to arrange your own transportation.
The ferry operator has added an extra return trip just for us on Sunday at 11:30 am, but we must have 100 people on this ferry in order for this special transportation to run. Otherwise, return ferry is at 5:30 pm on Sunday.
The Golf Course
Challenge yourself at The Els Club Desaru Coast, billed as the best golf course in Southeast Asia. Equipped with state-of-the-art Visage GPS system, drive your shared electric golf cart stocked with snacks, water and beer and enjoy your day on the spectacular links overlooking the South China Sea. Sip drinks on the course provided by Brown-Forman and challenge yourself on our fun novelty holes.
Awards Dinner
Following the tournament, registered hotel guests can join us for our always-fun Awards Dinner at SESSIONS Restaurant by Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast. Enjoy a full buffet menu with live stations such as burgers, tacos and satays and free-flow beer and wine for two hours. Want hard liquor? You can treat yourself at the hotel's bar. After dinner, hang at SESSIONS for a live concert, Hard Rock style.
If you brought your family, you can top up and bring them along to the dinner. What fun! Or they can skip the awards dinner and eat on their own.
The Hotel
Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast lives up to its legacy with music-infused and memorabilia-bedecked spaces. What could be better than an American golf tournament held at an legendary American hotel? Where else will you end your tournament day with a live music concert?
When you register for the event, you will receive a special promo code and booking information. Immediately reach out to the hotel to book your hugely discounted room. Room rates start at SG$ 200/night, a 50% discount off the usual price. Each registered guest will also get entrance to the water park and breakfast. We strongly encourage everybody to stay the evening. The hotel is bending over backwards to make this event happen for us. The awards dinner and concert will be a blast!
Family Fun
Have a family that would like to tag along? Great! There is no better place for a family than Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast. For starters, the hotel has a lovely outdoor pool. Send the kids to the absolutely fabulous Roxity Kids Club for children age 4+ while you enjoy some spa treatments with a musical twist at the Rock Spa. Be sure to book these with the hotel when you register as they book up quickly.The great thing? If you bring your kids, they'll be well taken care of while you play golf!
Oh and there's more! The hotel backs up onto Adventure Waterpark Desaru Coast, a massive waterpark, home to the first-ever water coaster in the region and one of the biggest wave pools in the world! Your kids will love this place! All hotel guest rooms include complimentary water park tickets, one entry per person, per stay.
There are a ton of other things to do on the Desaru Coast, too... be wowed by fireflies or build sandcastles on the beautiful beach.

The Charity
Every year, the Ambassador's Cup chooses a charity to support. This year's charity is =DREAMS, a residential model that provides after-school academic and holistic support so that each child can focus on reaching their potential for a tertiary education. =DREAMS will launch in the 2023 school year, offering a full range of programs with a focus on Academic Support, Differentiated Programs. These are designed according to the specific need of each age band and can include coding classes, eco-citizenship cultivation lessons, leadership and critical-thinking focused training. Additionally, =DREAMS will work with community partners to provide access and guidance for our children to stay healthy and take care of their minds and bodies through Nutrition, Health and Wellness programs.
