The Asian Seniors Tour (AST) was founded in 2002 and the inaugural Asian Senior Masters (ASM) tournament was staged in Singapore in 2003 at the Jurong CC.


The 1st ASM @ Singapore 2003 presented by Graham Brash (Book Publishers) Pte Ltd founded in India in 1926 was the first Senior's PGA Tournament to be staged in South East Asia, which heralded the birth of the Asian Seniors Tour, at which  Korea's Choi Yoon Soo emerged victorious against worthy challengers hailing from PGAs based all over the Asia Pacific, as well as South Africa along with numerous members of the European Seniors Tour's including Terry Gale then ranked Number 2 on the EST's Order of Merit.
