Present and past members of any recognised PGA and or Tour are NOT required to under go the AST's qualifying school and are automatically entitled to join the AST provided they are at least 50 years old

Q School is open to male golfers who have attained 49 years of age or older
In order to qualify and pass the successful AST Q School candidate must return a 2 day / 36 hole score of no more than 15 over par.
In the unfortunate event that a Q School candidate(s) might fail to return the required score, they may go on to re-take Q School during any of the various ASM professional tournaments to be staged during 2020
Successful AST Qualifying School candidates who have attained 50 years of age, and having paid their fees to join the AST / Asian Seniors PGA Tour, will automatically become eligible to contest any and all ASM tournaments to be staged during 2020 including the AST's Tour Players Championship 2020 to be staged in or by March 2021
Non-Member of the AST - Country Exemption (CE) Status
The (CE) status applies only to Nationals, Legal Residents and members of the PGA of the host county, senior professional golfers who have reached 50 years of age prior to the 1st day of an ASM tournament can apply and if approved enter and play under (CE) status.
Please note that it will cost a non-member between US$ 150 and US$ 300 extra to register and play in an ASM event depending upon the prize money on offer, so it does make sense to join the AST
ALL PROFESSIONALS
are entitled to the last place prize money deduction to be offset against the full cost of their tournament entry fees which are payable upon registration.
