Congratulations Mohd. Rashid Ismail (Malaysia) the Champion of the 12th ASM @ Indonesia (Batam) 2022 presented by Integra Petrochemicals. Rashid led the tournament from start to finish, returning this year’s tournament’s lowest round of 68 (4 under) on day 1 of the event. Rashid returned a commendable 3 day total of 215, despite the very wet conditions encountered on the 2nd and 3rd day of the event.

Alex Tarigan (Indonesia) in grey camouflaged t shirt and Tony Lam (Malaysia) in red t shirt  both returned 217 and came in joint 1st runners up.

Mohd. Rashid (Malaysia) with 68 returned the best score for the day and the event with Alex Tarigan (Indonesia) who made his first appearance on the AST in 2007 as an amateur, returned a respectable 70


Returning even par 72 on day 1 of the event included fellow Indonesian countrymen Abrahamsyah and Efendi along with Tony Lam (Malaysia) in his AST debut. Coming in with 2 over par 74 were, Zakaria bin Mohammad (Malaysia), Abhinav Gorawara (India), Gary Kwek (Singapore), abd Gavin Webb (Australia).


Returning 75 with 3 over par were Mark Lamb (England) who was the AST’s first Amateur Champion at the inaugural ASM @ Singapore 2003 at Jurong CC and has been a regular on the AST since 2003, and Andy Rajendra (Nepal).

Gary Kwek returned 69 the best score of the day despite wet conditions, followed by Mohd Rashid Ismail with 70 and Alex Tarigan and Allard Bernhofen (Australia) who both returned impressive rounds of 71 and returning 72 for level par rounds on day 2 were Efendi, Tanaka (Japan), and Tony Lam with Roszali Baharuddin carding a 73.

Despite the rain delay and difficult wet conditions affected most players however undeterred Abrahamsyah (Indonesia) managed to return a most respectable 72, with Tony Lam with 73 and Efendi K with 74.


Goh Kian Yong (Malaysia) and Toho Alfredo (Indonesia) returned 75 whilst Alex Tarigan, Tanaka and Kim Das (India) returning 76. Testimony to the difficult and very wet weather conditions can be seen by tournament leader and eventual Champion Mohammad Rashid, Abhinav Gorawa, Roszali Baharuddin, Zakaria Mohammad, Gavin Webb and Andy Rajendra all returning 77

Asian Seniors Tour's OOM champion from the 3 events, the 12th ASM Indonesia 2022, the 10th ASM Thailand 2022 and the 14th ASM Singapore 2021 secured a place to play representing the AST at both the NSW Senior Open 2022 and the Australian PGA Seniors Championship 2022.


Mark Lamb (England) who emerged 3rd in the AST’s OOM will represent the AST at both tournaments, as Gary Kwek and Rashid Ismail are unable to participate.
