Present and past members of any recognized PGA or Tour are NOT required to undergo the AST's qualifying school and are automatically entitled to join the AST provided they are at least 50 years old
AST Q School is open to male golfers who have attained the aged of 49 years or older
To qualify and pass successful AST Q School candidates must return a 2 day / 36 hole score of no more than 15 over par.
In the unfortunate event that an AST Qualifying School candidate might fail to return the required score, they may register and go on to re-take Q School during any of the various ASM professional tournaments to be staged during the remainder of the AST's 2019 season and or at events to be staged in 2020.
Asian Seniors Tour (AST) membership and annual fees for the 2019 / 2020 season
Please note that it will cost a non-member between US$ 150 and US$ 350 extra to register and play in an ASM event depending upon the prize money on offer, so it does make sense to join the AST
In 2019 / 2020 it will cost the following to join / re-join the AST -
NEW MEMBER
- Senior Professional golfer - US$ 730 @ SG$ 980
- 1 time joining fee - US$ 365
- 1 Sep 2019 – expires at end Dec 2020 annual membership fees - US$ 365
Dress Code
– shorts are not permitted when playing golf (except during your practice round) Shorts and slippers are not permitted at all official functions and meals. Once you become a professional and join the AST please note that there is a US$ 50 fine for first time offenders, which will double for a repeat offence – any and all fines imposed / collected will be put up as nearest to the pin prize money the next day and or at the next event for all participants to compete for.
Caddies and Non-Golfing Companions
– accompanying non-golfers are not allowed to attend official meals and functions unless their participation has been registered with and paid for at the AST management office.
Travel & Medical Insurance
– all participating golfers, their non-golfing companion(s) / caddy are required to have purchased and or have in place their own insurance cover.
